Resolved: The United States ought to guarantee the right to housing.

Figured I may as well put a thread up for the LDers on here. Discuss. This is my state and NatQuals topic, so I'm gonna have some fun coming up with neg strats on this. I'm thinking an Agamben K on the neg, and for aff maybe Necropolitics?

I debated this at Nats in Congress last year. For more policy-focused debaters, I'd check out the Housing First model. It's been pretty damn successful on the state level, could be good solvency.

"They have done the most destructive, entirely insane thing that has ever been done. They've degraded debate. it's offensive. I'm sorry that you judges have had to listen to this, it's people like them that have destroyed the debate community"

DOUBLE BIND- Either the harms of the aff are true and they can't solve until they control the levers of power OR the harms are constructed and you reject them for alarmism

Counterplans that don't restrict themselves to a rights based implementation have a natural advantage here.

There are no differences but differences of degree between different degrees of difference and no difference.
