Hello y'all! Happy new year's! (early I know lol)

Incorporating Snowball's suggestion, I have attached a politics file (diff thread) that is pretty blocked out with a current scenario that should be good for awhile, until Tillerson's nomination either passes or is pulled. (Tillerson Nomination DA)

So, how's your weekend been/how will it be?

blue dogs are dead, moderates are dead

republicans move right, democrats move left

partisanship is 100%, compromise is a dirty word

i'm hoping for a miracle to save America from itself

I think it will be pretty good! I'm also hoping this DA does stay relevant for a while. UIL state is pretty traditional so having a PTX DA that doesn't link to my favorite CP will be really nice, thank you so much!

I wonder if I actually understand half the arguments I go for, or if judges are just confused and think I'm right because I sound confident in my explanation...

my weekend is looking to be pretty good. I'm more or less as done prepping for Churchill as I can get, so I can finally just relax a bit.

There's also Michigan KM's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into their cross x questions- their personal philosophy draws heavily from Philip K Dick literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depth of these taglines, to realize that they're not just edgy- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence, people who dislike Policy Debate truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humor in Morgan's existential cross x question "If you were an abstract expressionist painting, what color scheme would you use and why?", which itself is a cryptic reference to Bataille's French epic The Solar Anus. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Aaron Kall's genius unfolds itself on the livestream. What fools... How I pity them XD. And yes by the way, I DO have a Michigan KM tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies eyes only. And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 outround wins of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.

my district meet is january 24. I have an easy district and I consider myself to be a fairly decent debater as well. I made it last year, and I'm definitely better than then. Still plenty of room for improvement though. My goal is to break at TFA and UIL. My strategies are pretty generic all around for UIL and on the neg for TFA, but I think they'll still win rounds. We will see.
