    Give feedback on a card

I recently made a card, I'd love to get feedback on it, such as about the tag, evidence, and also whether this argument is even a good idea. If you want to take a look at the card and want to figure out what the card is saying on your own, then read no further, because I'm now going to give a rundown of it. Also, I intend for it to go against k affs and certain policy affs, depending on if their plan mentions a particular group of people. The link to the card is at the bottom of this post. Thank in advance :)))) This card is basically a "representing/speaking for others bad" card. I'm aware that I would have to ensure that the opponent is speaking for others, and not about experiences similar to theirs, because then it wouldn't make sense running this card. Anyways, the card is about a painting of Emmitt Till, a black boy who was murdered during the Jim Crow Era, is in his casket, and has sparked backlash because the artist who created this painting is white. From this card, I can make two arguments. 1: Creating a world for the betterment of a certain oppressed group won't work because in order to create an oppression-free world for that group, the suffering of this group must have been endured by the creator, aka the aff proposing their plan/advocacy 2: The type of plan/advocacy applied to this card would create backlash by the community of the group that the aff is solving for. for example, if an aff plan were about blood quantum laws in the US, because these laws are about Canadian/American natives, if the aff aren't natives, then the native community would publicly protest against it, because the ones behind all this just aren't native so it isn't their place to advocate for the natives. It isn't really speculation or assumption that the natives would protest, it's more a prediction based off of the situation revolving the painting. This argument works because I can compare the painting of Emmitt Till to the aff proposal, and the backlash from the black community to backlash from (insert whatever group the aff wants to help). If there are any misunderstandings or confusion, I'd be happy to clear up anything. https://docs.google.com/document/d/16crUOllT2jgA_3uwjIOGv5fLKrPXkrltWAkyvJB9k_I/edit?usp=sharing Edit: I'm constantly editing the card to my liking, so if any older comments are made about something that has already been changed, it is most likely because I have changed the card.

    Connolly card??

I heard about a card by an author named Connolly in an HS Impact podcast, and I've been trying to find the author/article it's from so I can cut it, but I haven't had any luck because it's not on the files I've looked at and there are multiple authors named Connolly who write about the same thing. The card's a defense to set col/antiblackness/any other k that presents a theory of how the world operates by saying (from what I inferred in the podcast) that there are no overarching social theories. Has anyone heard of this card, or can give me the article it comes from? It's possible that it comes from William E. Connolly, but he's published multiple books and I'm not sure which one it would come from.
  3. I can't find this card. I need it for a victimization k I'm writing. I've been unable to get a copy of the book or find a file with it. If anyone has it could they post it or email it to me? joshsmithld@gmail.com Thanks, the cite is below. Victimization turns and outweighs the case it causes oppression and denies agency Kappeller 95 (Susanne, Associate Prof @ Al-Akhawayn University, The Will to Violence: The Politics of Personal Behavior, pg. 18) There cannot therefore…….. on account of oppression.
  4. I have a ton of files on my computer, and if I had the time, I would probably have a card to answer anything they could possibly throw at me; but how to I locate these cards. Right now I usually just search my all files with key words or quotes, but a lot of the evidence files that are compiled are hundreds of pages long, not to mention that there are thousands of them as well. Simply put, how should I organize evidence to become more efficient (obviously I have blocks and etc already in a folder where I can access it easily, this is just for any possible file I have that might pertain to the debate)

    Anyone have some BIT cards?

Specifically, a card that shows will it WILL pass. And, maybe a card that shows why it will NOT pass, or why it would be undesirable for the BIT (in its current form) to pass. Thanks!

Does anyone have a card or source that justifies the importance of international law? Like, how undermining the law or international treaties would lead to a collapse of it & global instability,- or something of that nature? Im trying to use this for the new cx topic- anyone have anything?

    Aquaculture Cost Card

Hi I'm writing an aquaculture aff to use this year and I'm wondering if there are any cards that specifically state how expensive an aquaculture farm would be (for instance, 1 hectare). I'm on a pretty lay circuit, so knowing the cost is pretty significant (neg teams claim ambiguity is abusive because they like spending DAs a lot). All help is appreciated.
