  1. "Somewhere in Des Moines or San Antonio, Texas there’s a young gay person, and all of a sudden he or she realizes that he or she is gay and knows that if the parents find out they’ll be tossed out of the house, the classmates would taught him and the Anita Bryant’s and John Briggs are doing their bit on TV and that child has few options. Stay in the closet, or suicide. And then one day the child opens up a paper that says, “Homosexual elected in San Francisco," and then that child has a new option. And that option is to go to California. Or Stay in San Antonio and fight. Four days after I was elected I got a phone call and it was from a young person in Altoona, Pennsylvania. And the person said thanks. And you’ve got to be out gay people, so that this child and thousands others will have hope. And you’ve got to have hope. Without hope, not only gays, but blacks, Asians, seniors, the disabled, in essence without hope you give up. I know you cannot live on hope alone, but without hope life is not worth living. And you, and you, and you have gotta give them hope.” - Harvey Milk

  7. Im still praying for that to happen, im interested to see if Obama reacts to the new McCain commercial calling the veep decision a snub to Hillary
  8. well you could choose to do the class one of two ways: conventional and unconventional conventional would focus on traditional policy aspects like, plans, counterplans, disads, impacts, permutation, etc. uncoventional would focus more on improving skills neccessary for policy debate like, improving speed, teaching how to breathe effectively through your diaphram, word economy, understanding postmodern thought, etc. my school has taught unconventional for other events like congress and interp and the results are very effective
  9. No, I wish I could go to Denver, but I have a difficult ballot inititative in Florida that Im campaigning against with all my energy. Maybe my work organizing and getting voters to the polls can help Obama carry the state lol.
