  1. For 2NRs on T, I usually go for a overview and then impact analysis. This is where I spend at least 2-3 minutes fleshing out the importance of fairness and education within the debate community with some DAs to their interp. Afterwards, I'll just answer to any line-by-line they put up, and that's when I just use the answers from the blocks.
  2. My recommendation would be to find a card talking about how X group immigrants are being targeted through some mechanism within the immigration system and slap on a restriction to it. However, for set col aff's its a bit trickier. So you might want to find an immigration policy now that's hurting natives [maybe ask the aff team in round what policy is displacing natives and then they'll give you one.] Slap on that good ol' USFG should restrict and there you go.
  3. For me, I usually structure it like any T shell really [Interp, Violation, Standards, and then Impacts]. For TVA, I have that as just offense and read that at the end of the speech. I'm probably not the best Framework hack here so I bet someone else has a better structure, but that structure continues to win me K rounds.
  4. I know the two main impacts are Education and Fairness, but how do you go more in depth with it. Just curious lol
  5. I didn't do a word count, but it's not too long. If you have a problem then just message me and I'll fix it. Critical SLP V7.docx
  6. Kinda down for a debate on either side for the education topic so DM me lol
  7. I feel like there may be some research in the instance of making a topical aff. Maybe something with certain security measures being implemented as a solvency mechanism. Maybe an anti-bullying discourse being implemented (in the instance of the past shooting then probably tailor it with mental health standards so that students can point out those who may pose a threat to the school).
  8. Does anyone know how to get a Free PDF version of "a thousand plateaus."
  9. How much is the Digital Debate Camp???
  10. For me, winning the framework as AFF against the K allows the affirmative to weigh the impacts of the 1AC, Ik they previously said it. Some explanation: Bc you win FW, that means the judge has to take into consideration your Impact, and lets say you go ham completely on Impact Calc and prove why yours outweighs, then it makes it easier for the judge to vote AFF. I do believe that winning FW shouldn't be your only argument, like they said earlier, getting into the substance of the K such as No Links, Impact Turns... etc should be good as well.
  11. I mean in the 2NC you could use this as offense to say that the ALT can solve the affirmative, since the affirmative would of argued pass the Alt first then the AFF, which kinds of concedes this to the negative. It wouldn't be testing competition because your saying do the K first then the AFF, which in my opinion gives a lot of lee way for the negative to make the argument that the K would be able to solve the AFF
  12. A better Perm to Argue is Perm do the aff, then the K and win why the impacts of the affirmative outweigh the K. I mean it's a bit Intrinsic, but theirs some theory on why that's a good perm.
  13. This is just my opinion, but if the affirmative said that perm against me in a round, I would use it as a concession of the Alt solves the affirmative, because voting Negative would still mean you would solve the entirety of the affirmative. Then if you win the Link Debate, then they would be fucked because the negative has access over the affirmative and the just the affirmative alone would trigger the K Impact.
  14. I personally didn't get to see the Finals Live, but I hear a lot of talk about this. What happened within this round, that made such an impact to close the video.
  15. So in your Mes 08 evidence it says, the ongoing aggressive war-practices, and says we need to stop these practices. So how is climate change an agressive war tactic? Can you rephrase this question? How is the plan an aggressive war practice if China wants the plan? Your whole argument is saying that Imperialism will cause conflict, how come conflict hasn't happened yet between the U,S and China yet, like a full on war. It has not caused a full on war between the U.S and china yet but it has caused other wars such as the world wars and the Korean war. How did it cause WWI or WWII or the Korean war? Do u have any uniqueness for your impact?
  16. Angel, word count is based on the highlights not on all the words xD. In your SQ solves you bring up this King 16 evidence, where was that stated because I don't see it in your 1NC. In your 2nd Mann 15 evidence you say India's building coal plants because of electricity, so does renewables not bring electricity? When did we ever say we were curtailing fossil fuels, because all I remember is we said we were reducing emissions. Where in our Plan Text or any evidence do we specifically say that? In your China say No evidence, you say China cares more of domestic issues then international, so does china care for its citizens? What's your warrant in your weidong 15 evidence, for why China specifically says no to our plan. You just read tag lines, do u have any warrants in your evidence to justify Better yet, does climate change have an affect on nations domestically? Has the U.S not worked with China prior to the plan on climate change issues? Do u defend the entirety of your Ridley 12 evidence? Do u defend the entirety of your Bloomborg 11 evidence? Ahn 14 evidence u said Engagement will always lead to military engagement. So when the U.S was collaborating with China in the Climate Change Working Group, did the military all of a sudden send a ton of ships over there? Better yet, do u have specific warrants on why Econ Engagement will make an increase in Military? So in your Mes 08 evidence it says, the ongoing aggressive war-practices, and says we need to stop these practices. So how is climate change an agressive war tactic? In your Powell 15 evidence u say, American-led efforts to reduce global emissions have become a form of “environmental imperialism” meant to limit the economic growth of developing nations, particularly China. How are we limiting their economic growth if the plan is soley focused on econ engagement and trying to increase it? What's your warrants in your Wayne 12 evidence, and does the U.S not spend billions on it's military? So what's wrong with the dollar? Your whole argument is saying that Imperialism will cause conflict, how come conflict hasn't happened yet between the U,S and China yet, like a full on war.
