  1. My parents said yes to Digital Debate Camp!
  2. Thanks! I will look into it! Thanks! That is a great idea! I hope it works.
  3. It is not that my parents cannot afford the camps, it is that they don't see the benefit in them.
  4. Thank you for the suggestions! I will definitely look into the digital debate camp and UTNIF!
  5. They don't see the benefits of a camp meeting or exceeding the cost. Also, I went last year to UNT and in their minds it was a waste of money.
  6. I got into GDS 2 week, Northwestern 4 week, and DDI + DDIx, but my parents said no to all three. How do I convince them otherwise? Is it possible to be good at debate without going to camp? Thanks for your input!
  7. Yes, Michigan is probably more selective, but DDI is a pretty elite camp. Well at least I thought it was... Anyway thank you for your input!
  8. How selective are top tier debate camps? I'm just wondering because I got into DDI and DDIx as well as GDS for 2016 with a very bad record.
  9. I am sorry that I originally posted this on the wrong forum. I am still getting used to this website. I am a sophomore debater with a sub-par record that some how managed to get accepted to both DDI and DDIx as well as Georgetown Debate Seminar. Now the question is: which one do I choose? Some factors I am trying to consider are: prestige, success, cost, experiences, sense of community, and intensity. Thank you in advance for any comments or suggestions I may receive!
