    Biopower K

I'm thinking of running the biopower K, and was wondering if someone could provide an overview of the kritik, what the link is, the alt, and the impacts in relation with the surveillance topic, as well as how to win with it.

    Analytics

How would I write better analytics?
  3. 2nr

    Anti-Blackness

Can someone explain this in detail? How does the aff usually link, what is the impact, what is the alt, etc. Also what is social death theory?
  4. 2nr

How should I give analytics on case args? What should I talk about?

  6. I've heard Foucault and Agamben are similar, what's the main difference between the two? Which one is better for this year's topic?

  12. 2nr

    Double Binds?

What are they and how do you word them? Do you need cards with it?

    Effective CX

Ask them to explain stuff in their own words, clarify on things you don't understand, force them to concede something, set up your own arguments, etc. Always keep asking questions, a lot of novices ask like 3 questions and stop cx. That looks bad. Just keep asking them to explain stuff if you can't think of something to ask. Never ask them to re read a card or something like "what are your impacts" or something because then they will just re read the card and basically get a mini constructive speech. Asking what are the warrants of a card is ok usually. Also asking about alternatives and links are pretty good fillers.

  15. T is usually saying the aff plan doesn't meet the resolution. Framework is the way we should view debate. Usually FW is saying a policy approach is better and a kritik is not topical because they don't defend government action, but rather affirm something within the round. T can be read on both policy and kritik affs, while FW is usually read on K affs.
