  1. The sad thing is, this is actually an argument where I debated....
  2. Hey all, I'm a freshman at Centre College in Kentucky that's looking for any policy teams that would want a judge for whatever tournaments happen in the state/nearby. I'm also down to be a judge for hire for the actual tournaments themselves. I'm probably not qualled to judge at the TOC, but I've done national circuit and lay debate, so I can judge pretty much anything else. Payment isn't really a big deal for me (ideally i'd like to be able to cover gas), but I'm really here to try to give back to the community that's given so much to me, whatever that looks like. Also, if anyone's interested in some light coaching or help, feel free to get in touch. I know that there isn't much of a circuit here, but if there's a need, by all means let me know.
  3. Cut this for Nationals and then never did much with it. It's also the only half decent impact card I've ever cut, so I'm hoping that a camp or someone may find use of it for a Russian relations scenario or something. It talks about how U.S. officials have been discussing strategic nuclear strikes against Russian targets to curb militarization (the implication is that it's a response to Ukraine militarization, but it can work in other contexts too). The great part is that it's from this month! http://www.globalresearch.ca/us-officials-consider-nuclear-strikes-against-russia/5453655 Go forth and Conquer! Edit: Whoops, double, my bad

  5. OR Framework- Cheat better, you're giving the rest of us cheaters a bad name (depending on the team, though, if they actually have heart and believe in their advocacy then you may end up looking like a dick....) Although I said it snarkily, it is a viable interp to allow performance/kritikal debate within some limits (that they violate, of course)
  6. I know you plan on having T in there already, but I think T-Oceans would also work fantastically against this aff. When hitting an untopical aff, T is often the best route. That said, Borders K would also be fairly responsive. Also, "Human Trafficking rhetoric bad" exists somewhere, although I personally don't have much experience with it. I'm thinking something along the lines of victimization rhetoric bad, but more specific.
  7. Look up William Spanos. I don't know if he's written anything in the specific context of ISIS, but eveything else you're talking about is exactly what he writes on, particularly the American exceptionalism stuff.
  8. Does anyone have the cites from the Finals round? I couldn't find them on the caselist
  9. shit, there goes my new aff for Nationals....
  10. Steinberg is the AT everything, including himself.
  11. go on openev and look up DDI's environmental justice K, that sounds exactly like what you want, although honestly, you're best off just cutting the cards yourself so that they're more specific to both A) the aff and the way you frame the K.
  12. Are there aff AT's as well? Just making sure.
  13. I'd think that most "reasonable" interpretations of "Domestic" would be pretty devastating for this aff. That said, as a K aff it'd be interesting, then the interp isn't necessarily as problematic for you.
