Carbon Tax CP - Price Cut**

This file is an advantage CP to solve global warming advantages and any affs that claim to bolster the renewable energy market. I cut this originally for the college energy topic (undefeated when we went for it) and have updated it with 2014 evidence.

Given that global warming is almost certain to be one of the biggest advantages on next year’s Oceans topic, this file is a must-have. The solvency cards are fantastic, seriously a silver-bullet against any warming adv’s. Included are a variety of versions of the CP that have never been read (to account for potential DA’s/to bolster politics shields) and extensive 2NC blocks to answer every possible arg you will hear in response.

In terms of the net benefit, you can go for any DA specific to oceans exploration/development. Additionally, the politics shields are very solid.

FYI section includes a general overview of how a carbon tax would be implemented.

    *Adaptation Turn - Price Cut

This file is a nuanced impact turn strategy vs warming advantages. The argument is simply that we are already past the tipping point and it's too late to stop the pace of climate change. The only thing we can really do to survive is adapt. This aff tradesoff with both focus and resources neccessary to prepare civilization for adaptation strategies. Reasons this strategy is particularly cool -

    a. zero risk the aff solves
    b. adaptation turns and solves their impacts while avoiding resource crunch
    c. it is perfectly compatible with other popular impact turns such as C02 fertilization

File has extensions through the negative block and is almost completed highlighted. Get it while it's hot.

    A-Spec - Oceans 2014

A-spec is usually pretty silly. However, while doing some politics research for the oceans topic I came across a number of really good cards about bureaucratic agency politics empirically undermining US ocean management/development policy. This means that an engaged discussion about agency implementation is a pre-requisite to aff solvency. These cards are extremely specific and high quality. The coolest part of this component of the argument is that oftentimes the 2AC will just read their generic frontline to A-Spec and completely forget about the solvency debate. So in the block, you can just go for the substantive component of the argument and crush them on presumption + a disadvantage. Judges are often very unwilling to let the aff recover after a mistake like this, especially when you read several high-quality cards supporting your argument. This file is fully prepped with extensions through the negative block. At only $3 it is a high-value deal that you will want to start the year off with.

    Thursday File 10-22 - Immigration

This week’s Thursday File brings you an updated version of the immigration disadvantage. Following the shutdown/debt ceiling debate, Obama emerged the winner and has the upper hand moving forward on immigration reform. However, he needs to maintain his political capital to shepherd a deal in the House that will garner Republican support. The uniqueness evidence is even better than last weeks. Also included are a wide variety of aff responses including no pass cards, a2 obama’s pc, and reasons the bill will inevitably be delayed but pass later. Additionally, there are some general thumpers/gridlock cards to deal with any other potential DA’s you might encounter. Happy debating

Thursday File 9/26 - Debt Ceiling + CIR

This week’s Thursday file includes an update to the debt ceiling disadvantage along with a small update to immigration reform. The debt ceiling DA has never been better – with the deadline getting closer, the GOP is feeling more pressured than ever to cave in to Obama’s demand for a “clean†deal. But, Obama needs PC to stave off GOP demand (a good angle to deal with most people’s thumpers/no pass args). The plan means Obama loses is leverage and has to give in to GOP hostage taking, causing further escalation of demands and the collapse of negotiations

Also included is a small update for CIR – the story is surprisingly decent for this DA. Despite other fiscal fights and syria, congress will have just enough time to address immigration before elections. The plan disrupts the key sequencing of the agenda since any new agenda items are not calculated within the current congressional calendar.

Also included is “no pass†and impact d for debt ceiling, “no pass†cards for immigration, and some thumpers to deal with anything else.

Thursday File 9-12 - Debt Ceiling

This weeks Thursday file brings you an updated version of the debt ceiling disadvantage along with all of the uq/internal link nuts and bolts you will be needing on the aff.

Earlier this week, we were all doomed to the fiery pits of politics hell. With controversy on Syria heating up and a “yes vote†for the military option appearing bleak, it appeared Obama was going to have zero PC left for the rest of his agenda.

But alas, the politics Gods have spoken and delivered us salvation. Obama’s Tuesday speech was a game-changer by focusing on the diplomacy option with Syria, delaying a controversial vote on military action. The story on the debt ceiling disadvantage is that with Syria now taking a back seat and dying down, Obama will have the PC necessary to deliver a compromise on debt ceiling by the end of October. And, EVEN IF the diplomatic option falls through, delaying the vote will create the necessary time and space to ensure debt ceiling gets resolved. The new 1NC impact card is spectacular. The impact is fast, big, and definitely turns the case.

For the aff house – “no pass†cards for debt ceiling and immigration AND very strong thumpers/general pc killers for every other obscure agenda item someone might try to pull out of left field.

**Impact D Toolbox (Latin America)** Reduced Price

This is a comprehensive impact defense file. Although it is by no means exhaustive, it covers the classic big-stick terminal impacts people do serious damage with.

I have also focused on some common impacts people will be reading on next year's Latin America topic such as US/China regional influence, latin american stability, etc etc.

Why is this file a must-have?
Impact defense wins debates. A good impact defense file might just be one of the critical assets to your competitive success. If you can answer no other part of the case, you can atleast deny their terminal impact claims which is central to winning disadvantages and even kritik debates (i'm talking to you, lawless hippies).
Recency and quality - most of the cards are A+ and from the past 3 years - don't lose a close round on poor impact defense
Latin America - the topic specific cards are very solid and will give you an edge moving into the next season
Price/Volume - 6 dollars for over 60 pages of evidence you will use the rest of your debate career is a steal.

Pleas let me know if you have any questions!

    *A-Spec - Latin America - Reduced Price*

Yes, I know what you are thinking: A-Spec is dumb. And about 90 percent of the time, I would adamantly agree with you. However, I recently came across a number of really good cards about bureaucratic agency politics empirically undermining US engagement with Latin America. This file is fully prepped through the negative block.

*NFL Politics Toolbox - Reduced Price*

This file is your must-have politics toolbox for NFL/NCFL. It includes a comprehensive impact core for the immigration DA (which it seems will be unique for the remainder of the season and possibly even going into next year) and also the politics internals file I produced earlier this year. A few highlights ---

    a) Biotech - it's an awesome impact to read to the immigration DA since it is insulated from the economy/heg (which are some of the most common impacts people read) and also a non-war impact. the overview includes a ton of great impact calc cards for winning bioterror outweighs nuclear war. this is an awesome angle to have because it means that even if you don't have a bunch of specific case defense, you can condense down to impact calc in the 2nr and crush them on "only bioterror causes extinction"

    b. Impact diversity - even if biotech/bioterror isn't your jazz, this file has plenty of other sweet impacts like the economy/heg, clean tech, etc - these all double as "turns the case" arguments you should include in your overview

    c) Price/value - For only 4.50, this file is a steal - it has the impact cards you'll need to win this disadvantage and lots of useful internal link cards that will be relevant to next years topic

This is a useful case neg supplement to deal with the popular climate adaptation aff alot of teams are reading. The primary focus of the file is a capitalism K with a bunch of specific links to the plan (including a 2nc link wall with analytics and extensions already scripted). Also includes some solid answers to "fed key to disaster relief." Most of these cards are brand new (minus some of the cap impact/alt cards which are all quality). Politics Internal Link Toolbox

This is a comprehensive file dealing with the internal link debate for the politics disad. Reasons this file is a must-have:

    a) Two of the central arguments you will have to deal with your entire career debating politics is a) whether pc is key to the agenda and b ) is pc finite/can obama create momentum through wins on policies. This file gives you all of the evidence you will need to effectively execute either side of the debate. If you are a big fan of "pc not key",

b )Recency and specificity - The file includes 2013 updates on every issue. The Singer '09 card is sick but a bit outdated and not going to get the job done anymore. And for the other side, reading evidence to answers winners win or pc theory from the 90's is embarrassing.

    c) Quality - in addition to evidence from books (yes, the kind you have to scan and get from the library), this file includes evidence from political science professors and top political analysts. These qualifications help you to make meaningful comparisons and distinctions to decisively win micro-debates.

Thursday File 2-7-13 + Friday Addendum

This week’s file includes an update for the comprehensive immigration reform DA (along with the files from the past two weeks). The main focus of my work was a uniqueness sweep but some other noticeable updates and additions include:

Impact turns (and neg a2: impact turns) – There are a number of benefits to having the ability to impact turn the politics DA on the aff. You might hit a CP that you didn’t predict and are lacking a good solvency deficit/offense, your aff might be on the wrong side of a link turn, etc – impact turning politics will get you back in the game. If you’re negative, this file covers negative responses to potential impact turns and help will prevent you from being caught off guard. Since the immigration DA will probably be alive for a big chunk of this next semester, this will be an excellent file to have even if you’re not debating this weekend.

Impact update – includes a number of new/recent cards – specifically, a hot 1nc card that says the impact is quicker than any benefit from infrastructure investment.

New internal link work – with the Senate pursuing their own vision for immigration reforms, the literature has increasingly been pointed towards “obama not key.†This file includes new cards that effectively respond to that.

Aff updates – because we can’t always be negative

**Dedev Update + Nuke War Defense - Reduced Price**

This file is intended to be a de-development supplement (yes, there are ZERO camp cards/backfiles). It is mostly geared towards the uniqueness component of the debate which is critical to executing this particular impact turn strategy.

A number of benefits to having this supplement for your arsenal
Growth is the biggest adv on the topic – if you have nothing else to say, you can always impact turn
Control uniqueness – makes it impossible for them to win any of their offense – growth is going to collapse, only a question of whether we let it happen now to avoid ecological collapse and runaway warming
Strategery – Impact turns such as this one are incredibly strategic on the negative since you get the block to bury the affirmative with distinctions, comparisons, and evidence
Evidence quality – no evidence from blogs or idiots
Recency/New-ness – Includes evidence from the past 3 months *that has not been read* and cards you will *not find in any camp files*

As a bonus, also includes a few impact calc cards about nuclear war – use these to prove that your structural/environmental impacts outweigh the aff
