    Skeet Skeet?
  1. I have a question about their concept of the facility machine, as of now I'm workin on using their ideas on biunvocal relations/defiance etc to wrote a criticism of "racism" my question is what sort of arguments would I run up against? As of now the best thing I've heard is perm: massumi card and that god awful Tyler durden da
  2. Both of our affs have been pretty successful we run Afghanistan Interdiction and Deleuze and Guattari affirmative that we cut this year
  3. How would a neoist framework (your art is dead, we need a new art framework" work out, especially as a fw turn on performance affs?
  4. Awesome, thank you both so much for your help, this will actually help a whole lot for the arguments I'm trying to cut EDIT: what books should I look for by Spanos?
  5. So would it be enough to find authors who are focused on the actually uprising of a movement of people's who need to dismantle capitalism (like Herod in 04 people have to individually fight capitalism on a day to day basis) or is there something more specific than that? EDIT: Oh and for artists I was thinking of Enter Shikari's album "Common Dreads" for this topic specifically Fanfare For The Conscious Man, would that work (anyone who's familiar)?
  6. I'd really like to get into the realm of performance debate, specifically musically inclined performance, however I haven't got the slightest notion of what kind of literature to read, what I would need to be well versed in and what authors to look for. Specifically, I'm trying to cut an in-round performance cap k, also what kind of framework arguments are set up for performance teams? Sorry I sound like a complete n00b, any and all help greatly appreciated
  7. I'm sure our school would be more than happy to have you come down to lecture our novices since they never seem to want to pay attention to our varsity members, I'll see if I could work something out with my captain
  8. If you're relatively new, I saw that you have XO CP in there, it works pretty well alongside A-SPEC is you have the argument, I have a shell if you need one. But yea as other people said, Crowd Out + Charities works really well, also if you could find Welfare State = capitalist (any cap k from this year should have it) you could probably run Ban SS CP with Cap net benefit
  9. I have the DDI K of T which is pretty great if you ask me, if you want it, send me a PM
  10. Virginia 1. Mary Bobbit & Chetan Mishra - Broad Run HS 2. Nick Lepp & Shashwat Sharma - Broad Run HS
  11. ^see above By state I assume you mean USFG? Rorty is always good, doesn't necessarily talk about Capitalism, but he talks about how the left has to move through the state otherwise it'll only get muted by the right, you could also take a look at Zizek's "violence" he talks about how the state would need to address the systemic effects of capitalist violence in order to solve instead of focusing on improbable impact scenarios, so if your plan claims to solve for cap then i guess you could use that, I mean its not really state k/t solve but it's a decent enough answer to cap good etc. along side rorty
  12. If anyone could send me a copy of the LSC aff put out by LDI this year I'd be willing to trade, I don't really have anything special, but i have access to erything on planet debate and whatnot so I guess we could work something out, thanks!
  13. If someone could tell me whether or not this is a correct interpretation of Zizek's "psychopolitics" it would be very helpful. From what I understand, psychopolitics is the idea that we try to assign an explanation to everything, but when we encounter something that is inexplainable, it leaves an empty hole inside of us, which we try to fill with something (ideology, religion, etc.) this leads to...? at that point i'm sort of lost, any and all help appreciated!
  14. thank you both, could i permute it by saying that we should start with the alternative as a basis and move to the instutionalized political to finish the plan?
  15. This weekend we got a kritik called "authoritarian populism" run on us it was put out by UNT, aside from the generic aff answers part, how would I answer this kritik?
