(Nicholas Rescher Prof of Philosophy @ Pitt U 1983, "Risk: A Philisophical Introduction to the Theory of Risk Evaluation and Management" pg 50) "The "worst possible case fixation" is one of...it is emphatically not a satisfactory index of the overall seriousness of gravity of a situational hazard." I've not gotten to read through it all the way, is it a decent argument to run against like nuclear war?
