    Rafael Nadal

I think that this is Davydenko's only chance to win a grand slam. And he is playing some great tennis. So he is my dark horse.

    Dropped Arguments

I evaluate a dropped argument if and only if the opposing team tells me that it was dropped AND tells me the importance of it being dropped (i.e that this concession = 100% risk)
  3. Or you could just have a consumption tax

    oil DA

No, about 5 yrs ago my sister lived in a house in which she had to call and oil company to put oil in this tank to use for heating her house

    oil DA

Wait...Since when do people not use oil to heat their homes? That still happens.
  6. Pro Sports Basketball - Spurs all the way. Old but good. And when they weren't old they were unstoppable. Baseball - My hometown Brewers, The Boston Red Sox in the AL. ANYONE BUT THE YANKEES!!! Football - Tennessee Titans. Even when they were the Oilers, they were my fav. I gotta give some love to my Packers though. Tennis - My fav of all time is Andre Agassi. I modeled my game after his. But my current favorite players are David Nalbandian (Viva Argentina!!) Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams (need I say more) College Sports Basketball - Marquette Golden Eagles (my alma mater). I've always been a fan of Kentucky basketball since I was a kid. I'm a big Tennessee Vols fan. And Wisconsin and Creighton are favs of mine too. Football - Anyone but USC and Notre Dame, LOL. But seriously, I hate that my alma mater doesn't have a football team, so I'm forced to root for the Badgers I guess. I like Alabama football as well as West Virginia. Boise State is a favorite of mine too. Baseball - Cal State Fullerton Tennis - Illinois for men, Georgia for women

    NFC North

Being a Wisconsinite, I think that the Bears will win the NFC North. The Packers will not win the NFC North until they learn how to stop the run and learn how to run the ball. The only team that can do that with some consistency is the Bears. I believe the standings will be Bears, Packers, Vikings, Lions At first I thought that the NFC East would get both wild cards but I think that one will go to the NFC South. The Eagles, Cowboys and Redskins are gonna beat each other up enough so that only one gets the wildcard and the Bucs, Saints and Falcons are gonna beat each other up enough to allow one of those teams to get a wild card.

    NFC North

being a wisconsinite, i think that the bears will actually win that division. green bay will not win it until they learn how to stop the run and learn how to run the ball. you can't do anything with 7 people in the backfield on defense because they know the pass is coming. the o-line really sucks at the moment. i think that it will be bears, packers, vikings, lions originally i thought that the nfc east would get both wild cards but i think that one will go to the south and one to the east. besides the giants i think that everybody is gonna beat eash other up in the east so that only one gets that wildcard and same thing in the south; besides the panthers everyone is gonna beat each other up
  10. I really don't think that the problem with hemp lies in the inherency. I mean it is not legal (structural barrier) and there are attitudes towards hemp and its relationship to marijuana that prohibit its use (attitudinal barrier)

    Algae aff

    Consult New Zealand!?!?!?
  12. I really think that this could fly, simply because if the plan is just energy research and there isn't anything concrete that is being implemented then I could really see a monetary tradeoff. It seems that everyone is assuming that the tech would be widespread and we would just turn into a alternative energy economy. But that is only if we get the tech due to the research. But who knows how long that will take. Fusion is a perfect example. With that said the ev I think would be hard to find.
  13. For all of you that are questioning the seeding, it varies from year to year at each grand slam tournament. In the case of Djokovic seeded 3 in the same half as Federer seeded 1, the year before. the 3rd seed was placed in the same half as the 2nd seed and the 1st and 4th seeds were placed in the same half of the draw. This will be the case next year. Beyond that, it seems to be up to the tournament where they place the lower seeds in the bracket. There is no rhyme or reason for how they do seeds 5-32. Bruce Willis. Roland Garros does not seed any differently than the rankings at the time of entry to the tournament. Wimbledon is the only GS that seeds with a special formula taking into consideration how well a player did on grass for the past two years. kaut67. There are 32 seeds at the grand slams not 28. But to answer the question of Federer and the number of grand slams he'll win I think that he can win Wimby at least 3 more times. I think there will be a year in there where Nadal wins it. But because he lost in the semis in Australia, he is going to take that as a challenge for next year and you'll see a new Federer on those plexipave courts. I'll say that he can win at least 6 more majors.
  14. It seems that this only proves that renewable energy is an alternative energy. Not too much distinction.
  15. I feel that it is one step effects. Almost every aff on the Africa topic can be considered that and those have been widely accepted by judges. Seems to me that they will accept this just as well.
