  1. Registration is now open for the Blake Holiday Debate Tournament. Go to http://www.joyoftournaments.com/mn/blake for more information and to register. Tournament will be December 14-16, 2007 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Minneapolis. TOC Bids awarded at quarters in Policy, quarters in LD, and finals in Forum. LD prelims are flighted and will use the Jan.-Feb. national topic. Policy and LD will have 6 prelim rounds and break to doubles (partial trips if entries warrant). All Policy and LD rounds and forum elims will be held at the Hyatt. Forum prelims will be held at the Blake School. The Hyatt is offering a $79 rate for hotel rooms. They will sell out quickly. LD uses the Jan-Feb NFL topic. All rounds are held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Downtown Minneapolis. Policy tab is being run by Tara Tate of GBS, Maggie Berthiaume of Lexington and Pete Nikolai of Rosemount. Mike Bietz will be running the LD tab. Over 200 teams registered. Come join the fun.

Dear Debate Coach, The National Forensic League Chapter of the Blake School is honored to extend to your school an invitation to attend the Forty-fourth Annual John Edie Holiday Debate Tournament. We are looking forward to an extremely competitive pool in both Policy and Lincoln-Douglas debate. We are pleased to announce that Tournament of Champions bids will once again be awarded to the quarterfinalists in both policy and Lincoln-Douglas. Again this year, all rounds will be held at the tournament hotel, the Hyatt Regency, located in downtown Minneapolis. Tournament dates are December 15-17, 2006. LD rounds will be flighted and you will need to provide one judge for every three LD entries. LD will debate the Jan-Feb national topic.
