Table of Contents This weeks Thursday File contains two scenarios. The first is a fiscal reform disad centered around GOP unity and Boehners credibility, the second is a SKFTA file and update. Why You Should Buy This File?1. Fiscal reform is a great disad, the uniqueness evidence post/assuming the most recent budget battle is phenomenal and there are specific links to global defense commitments. Most importantly, its not a political capital disad, which means most the affirmatives stock responses will not apply.2. Diversity, the SKFTA update is thorough and gives you enough goods on SKFTA that you can run it without having any previous file. The bundling answers are great on the heels of the new labor pact with Colombia, and even most of the impact internals in the file are new- the 1NC SKFTA good evidence is from the eleventh.

  2. I just got back from the Fall Classic and decided it was worth it to make this post, even after the 4 hour drive. Thanks to Ron and everyone else there for hosting a great tournament. The tournament ran smooth and on time (an amazing effort for 5 rounds a day!) and Ron made sure there was ample pre-round prep time, RFD and post-round time, and time for debaters to sleep. I've never seen such great hospitality at a high school tournaments- the coach/judge lounge was always well-stocked with food, OJ, and water. Anyone who didn't make it this year would be crazy not to go next year. The level of competition makes the Capitol tournament one of the best tournaments in the Mid-Atlantic and the quality of judging there was consistently high, ensuring that post-rounds were always 100% worthwhile and debaters could learn from some of the best. I just wish this tournament had been around when I debated in high school. Matt Struth LU Debate
  3. Just to clarify, everything I know I edited my first post to include. Good luck with the info centralization =)
  4. Also, the icon looks like a redesigned pokeball. Turnoff.
  5. How is this working out for people? How does it hold up next to firefox? Is the session manager good? Is there any reason I should use this instead of firefox? Edit: thoughts so far The look: prefer firefox Dynamic tabs: nice (you can pull tabs out of a window to make them a new window, move tabs from window to window, etc) Crash control- tabs crash independently: I have yet to field test this, but if true, this probably makes google chrome > alternative

    Simple Poll

<<The risks include 300% greater chance of developing Alzheimers if taken for greater than 90 days>> So, this statement would not apply for people who use Benadryl, say, once every 3 weeks in response to a minor allergic reaction?
  7. Does anyone know of all the policy debate leagues/hosts in Virginia? I'm aware of: VSHL (3 tournaments) WACFL (5 t + 1 qualifier) [Washington-Arlington, Northern Virginia / Maryland] Richmond CFL (5 +1) Tidewater Debate League (5) NFL (1 q) Invitationals (GMU, JMU, Broad Run) (Is Pot Falls still around? SBHS?) I know I asked in another thread, but I'd figured more people would see here. I'm curious partly because I'll be in the Lynchburg area for awhile and want to see how I can help out with HS debate while there. I know Blacksburg had (has?) a strong team, is there not a regional debate circuit down there? Kaitlyn, you said you were helping with teams in Harrisonburg- where do they normally compete during the year?
  8. Wow, I'm old enough to have participated in this. Apparently I'm jurassic. Here's a question though, does anyone know of all the policy debate leagues/hosts in Virginia? I'm aware of: VSHL (3 tournaments) WACFL (5 t + 1 qualifier) [Washington-Arlington, Northern Virginia / Maryland] NFL (1 q) Invitationals (GMU, JMU, Broad Run) (Is Pot Falls still around? SBHS?) I know there are other --CFLs, I don't know how many or where they are.
  9. Thanks for the notice. That might be an issue with the type of word processor you have, most likely the issue is just because the table of contents is an index. It should show up fine in MS Word 97, 03, 07. There may be some odd reason it isn't showing up for you in particular, I've posted the index below for anyone it isn't showing up for (I've checked on multiple computers with 03 and 07 and it works fine). Regardless, the content of the file (cards) should show up in any word processor. 10. Relations updates added to Evazon, econ updates closer to the tournament. ------------------------------------------------------------- This relations and stability file contains updated answers to US relations with Australia, Canada, China, the EU, India, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Russia and Turkey, as well as answers to Afghanistan, Iraq, and Pakistan stability arguments. Essential for answering people's specific country arguments at NFL Nationals. Every single card in this 29 page file is underlined and all but 2 are from mid-May or June 2009 (and those two cards are excellent cards). 12. I will post my files tomorrow evening for those who will be traveling, but will update them so you have the most recent econ / relations cards going into NFLs. Once you buy the file, you will be able to download it for free at any time, so if you are later able to access the internet (at the NFL hotel lobby, for example), you can download the updates at no additional cost. I will put the updates in a clearly marked section so there's no confusion. Good luck at NFLs!
