    Troops Kritik

    Version

Table of Contents This file links to every policy aff on the topic. The 1NC argues that the way the aff conceives of the military troops and missions in terms of problems of security creates a tense epistemological relationship with the future. The way the aff attempts to dejustify military presence by focusing on conflict makes possible military build up and future war making. The impact to this problem/solution framework is the inevitability of all out war involving nuclear weapons. The alternative is to reconceptualize the relationship between intellectuals and practice and reject their division of the world into problem-zones. The file comes with 2NC Overviews, new self-contained 2NC K add-ons, and 2NC blocks to all standard K answers. Originally primed for use at the NDT, this file is completely blocked out, highlighted, and ready to go.

Table of Contents For 4 dollars, you won't ever lose to this argument again. This file is a comprehensive answer to the PIC or PIK out of "persons in poverty" and means testing. It includes a prepared 2AC, scripted 1AR extensions with more evidence and 1AR add-ons, as well as an offensive 2AR overview. This is not just a random assortment of answers to the PIC. It's a comprehensive strategy that makes sense and is designed to defeat all aspects of this argument. It includes:1. Crafty permutation arguments that make the counterplan not competitive (backed up by evidence)2. Evidence proving the counterplan would ultimately result in targeting because of the nature of social services3. Answers to their link and internal link claims about targeting being stigmatizing/neoliberal/biopolitical4. Solvency deficits about why the CP can't change the structures of means testing and persons in poverty5. Solvency deficits to Universal social services (trade-off disad/means testing key)6. Impact take-outs7. Disads to the CPQuestions? Email me at jaipaulrekhi at gmail dot com.

    Berkeley/Harvard Disad Answers

    Version

Table of Contents Must have for the Cal and Harvard tournaments. File has evidence from the last 3 days including:A. Lots of ev saying social services now- answers the "HHS budget will be the same as last year" and budget freeze and social service cuts now-- winning these args make it very very hard for the neg to win link uniqueness. B. Really good answers to the NASA trade off disad. C. Really good and recent all purpose politics answers. Evidence is really good. It's highlighted. There's scripted 1AR extensions and really short 1AR cards to read too. Email me if you have any questions at jaipaulrekhi at gmail dot com.

Table of Contents Fiscal discipline and spending updates both ways. Good enough to read credible spending disads and beat them. Also good aff non-uniques to economy impacts- forces the neg to read impact uniqueness to win their DA.

    February Disad Non Uniques Updates

    Version

Table of Contents Must have for upcoming tournaments. This file contains evidence from the last few days (Feb 1-3) about the status of social services and the DHHS. These cards will make it nearly impossible for the Neg to win on any generic disad that links to all social services like politics, spending, trade-offs, etc. The ev is really good. It's highlighted. There's scripted 1AR extensions and really short 1AR cards to read too. Email me if you have any questions at jaipaulrekhi at gmail dot com.

    Must Have Ontology Bad Frontlines

    Version

Table of Contents This file is a must have for all teams that will be useful throughout your debate careers. It is a highlighted and blocked out (2AC, 1AR, and 2AR) to beat all kritiks that think we should focus on the ontological elements of advocacy, text, language, and thought- so everything except for the objectivism "k". This file is all offense against ontology focus. This means two things for you: First- You won't lose because they said "ontology comes first which makes your aff irrelevant"Second- And more importantly- If you win this portion of the debate, it comes before their link and impact arguments because its a framework question. It is functionally the same as winning the theoretical framework debate, except its more compelling because its doesn't sound like you are whining about how the K team has "abused" and "silenced" you. email questions to jaipaulrekhi at gmail dot com.

  7. Version

Table of Contents This argument is an awesome answer to almost every kritik. There is a generic 2AC to read and then a specific 2AC to read vs certain kritiks. The argument is a permutation with a solid net benfit. It's that we should combine the plan (including representations) with the alternative because a politics of undecidability is better than picking either side. The evidence says that we should gesture in opposite and contradictory directions at the same time because it allows us to intervene in a practical political manner while at the same time maintain a perpetual uneasiness about our politics so that we can open up new possibilities for the future. This allows us to re-create epistemologies and correct injustices potentially caused by the plan. The net benefit is that refusal of the perm engages in a violent politics of decidability which eliminates the possibility of politics and ethics. There are blocked out 1AR extensions to most of the arguments. This is an extremely powerful argument to read against any ontology kritik as well as fear kritiks, lacanian/zizekian kritiks, and kritiks of signs and language. It's blocked out and highlighted and ready to go. At less than $4, its a steal. Any questions, email me at jaipaulrekhi at gmail dot com.

    Free Trade PIK

    Version

Table of Contents The argument is simple and can be run against any affirmative that reads a Free Trade/Globalization advantage. The thesis of the argument is that there are two competing cultural approaches to globalization, a culture of living and a culture of killing. Both can affirm the same politics but engage "the political" by different means. The affirmative, which advocates social services for persons in poverty in the name of trade liberalization, is an example of the culture of killing which rallies under imperialistic universalisms. This is bad because, rather than placing human life at the center of economic thought, they affirm a form of economic security which has anti-life dimensions. The 1nc impact is an extinction scenario through north-south divide as well as a value to life claim about the global economy of death. The alternative endorses a different framework than the affirmative- rather than affirm the plan through appeals to economic security, the neg places life at the center which solves the link claims as well as the aff. Pretty devastating strategy. The file comes with blocks to all of the main aff answers as well as 2NC link scenarios for any add-ons they could read. The file is also entirely high-lighted and ready to go. Any questions? Email me at jaipaulrekhi at gmail dot com.

    Poverty PIK/PIC Answers

    Version

Table of Contents Tired of losing because you said the word “poverty” or the phrase “persons in poverty”? Yeah, it looks annoying every time I see it happen. This file contains a comprehensive strategy to defeat the poverty pik/pic and the general poverty K. This argument can be deployed as an offensive turn and permutation argument. It is also an applicable answer to many of the language and epistemology kritiks on the topic, although 90% of the cards are very specific to notions of poverty. Also included 1AR evidence and 1AR extensions to each 2ac argument. Questions? Email me before you buy this file at jaipaulrekhi at gmail dot com.

    Kritik of Violence/Knowledge Production

    Version

Table of Contents This is an argument that literally links to every affirmative (traditional or critical) and there are two components of the argument: The first is an argument by Kappeler. It is that massive amounts of intellectual energy are spent exploring, explaining, and theorizing violence. Violence is described as the product of particular circumstances, as the result of pathologies, or as a simple fact of life. All these explanations of violence serve one purpose: to hide the fact that violence is the product of the will to be violent. Regardless of circumstances, every act of violence occurs becomes somebody chooses to be violent. The affirmative’s attempt to explain violence as the ultimate product of a series of internal links asks all the wrong questions. Their inquiry distances us from violence and our own complicity in it, opting instead for an understanding where we witness violence as observers, and act on it from a position of detached, almost scientific, objectivity. This approach can never succeed, as the solutions it inevitably yields only traps us in a cycle of ideological violence and counter-violence. The second is an ordering/knowledge production argument. We live in a world which is increasingly globalized—ours is now a global village whose problems demand solutions of an equally broad scope. The affirmative’s project is emblematic of this approach to the political, which can only see the earth as a game board upon which to enact new fantasies of control… all in the name of an abstract common good. Despite their good intentions, this project of ordering authorizes colonial violence in order to remake the world in our image. This file comes complete with scripted 2nc blocks to most affirmative responses as well as 2nc extensions of link/impact/alternative arguments. Any questions?
