Recommended Posts

Why do some people call it T proper or line by line proper vs. line by line?

Ive heard this at a couple tournaments and just don't understand why lol?

Thanks .

it's to distinguish between the overview and line by line. The line-by-line is where you have to start flowing "properly" I guess.

^^ That's right. sometimes judges flow the overview on t separately. It's helpful when you signpost by saying "t-proper" or "line-by-line" because judges know where you are on the flow and can flow better- ig you get better speaks.

Distinguishing between the two depends on where you are debating- I've noticed that some schools in Georgia say "proper" and some schools in California say "line by line" - it really just depends on preference and habit.
