yes Q was in finals last year and got beat by Harvard HS

the berkeley teams will do well- i don't think they will crack under pressure this year because they all have been through this before except for miles gray

other teams that will do well: georgetown LK, kansas DR, wake AS, emory GK, emory FL, harvard MS, kentucky BT, georgia RS, georgia AR, USC BL, UMKC AT, rutgers NM, minnesota AL, oklahoma WJ, northwestern CE, michigan DM

i think finals will be georgetown LK and berkeley MS- i won't pick a winner because I think that matchup is a tossup and the winner will be based on panel composition

elims are out:

notables-

3 all freshmen teams cleared (trinity dk, Kentucky bt, northwestern lw)

emory fl and emory gk didn't clear

wake as is top seed and perfect 8-0

all 3 kansas teams clear

2 unlv teams clear- i think first time they've cleared teams since they didn't exist before 2007

how do they figure out who clears? both Emory teams that didn't clear have higher ballot counts than some of the teams who did

I'm not sure but my guess is that wins count first then ballots are tiebreakers.

I don't think that doubles pairing on tabroom is complete.

that might be true given that wake AS is shown as getting a bye and cal GW isn't listed

I am pretty sure all 5-3's clear.  And I think ballots come before speaks.  It probably makes sense that Cal GW also has a bye and that Georgetown KL v Harvard AM is the 3rd seed vs the 30th seed.  There are just teams missing for some reason.  Probably a tabroom error.

All 5-3s clear. Seed order is wins then ballots then speaks. Emory GK did clear and got walked in the doubles by Emory FL. The top 2 seeds have byes because ONLY 5-3 or better clears, so usually only 29-30 teams make it to out rounds.

Damn it looks like Cal GW and Cal MS will hit in quarters ... that'll be a painful walkover

I hope if that happens that they walk MS over. I'm not sure though, considering GW is a higher seed
