bammytess 12 Report post Posted March 18, 2015 I have an upcoming tournament and I'm writing an anthropocentrism bad case. Yet the normal V/C doesn't really fit. How would I write a ROB? Or is there a framework that I could use? Thanks in advance!!

Raybadursh 108 Report post Posted March 19, 2015 A good ROB fits your needs and is justified. Depending on the alt of your k, the ROB should be fit around your alt but also leave room for other advocacies to exist. For example, the ROB that I use for Heidegger + poesis is to vote for the best mindset. That makes it easy for me to win with a poesis alt, but it gives the other team opportunities to not be totally crowded out. Therefore, the ROB isn't self-serving, but you'll still win with it. For anthro, it's also going to depend on your impact and the impacts of the aff. If the aff is identity, you can claim root cause and use their own role of the ballot (implying it's not hyperspecific). You can even take on a utilitarian ROB and claim that you're helping the most amount of nonhuman lives.
