My predictions for what they are worth (not much in some)

2A - Blanco, Lago, Salado, and White Oak. who wins depends on panels and pairings I think.

3A - Athens GO, Athens MM, Big Spring BC, Lampassas DW, North Lamar PE, North Lamar CG, Chapel Hill HM, Bandera LT, Graham BO, Snyder CR, Glen Rose CW, Waco Connally PT, Seminole BW, Navasota NZ, La Vernia GU, Bridgeport BG. (I'm sure, minus weird things, of the bolded ones. But I haven't seen any of the non-bolded, so...)

4A - Crosby, Hallsville, Mercedes, Highland Park, LBJ, Bay City all have a shot, depending on pairings and judges. Bay city (in the past several years) hasn't been able to take on the other teams though.

Anyone have a school list already done for 4A? I don't feel like going through all those pages on uil's website.

Bay City can't travel across the state as much so they dont usually see the other top teams during the season.

Still managed a UIL State Bronze last year (I guess "taking on" their opponents). Lost a 2-1 in Semis to Hendrickson who also defeated Crosby in Finals.

On a lighter note, Though I agree with your list and that BC has work to do.

Yeah, I agree. That McGalliard kid can debate. He's the best I've seen in south Texas in quite a while. It's his first time at CX State though, should be interesting to see if he can handle pressure.

Having said that, McGalliard slips up a lot. He's new to high-level competition, never did well at TFA tournaments when I debated against him.
