Also how are we supposed to maintain heg in a world where we dedevelop?

And is the alt to the K a question of ontology? Or what exactly does it do?

1. What ground do you lose from me saying including but not limited to?

You could potentially spike out of anything that we throw at you because you don't specify what exactly you do in the plan text. This effectively kills neg ground because anything that we have going against the aff as of the 1NC would just get spiked out of by non-specified and potentially extra-topical planks of the aff.

2. What is sisyphus?

Wrong question, I think you mean "Who is Sisyphus?" The answer to that question is that he is a mythical figure that the gods decided to punish by putting him on a hill with a really big, heavy stone that he has to roll up the hill for infinity. Camus goes on to use this as a metaphor for the human condition and the nature of attempts to solve our problems.

3. Is violence inevitable in the world of the alt?

Yes, but Camus indicates that the same is true of the world of the plan.

4. How does imagining sisyphus solve the aff?

Imagining a happy Sisyphus allows us to embrace the absurd elements of our existence and reconcile ourselves to the existence of problems in the world. Asking how the alt solves the aff is a question that misunderstands the K--we reorient ourselves toward problems like the aff through the recognition that there will always be another stone to roll.

5. Wouldn't we be dead a long time ago if Camus's philosophy was endorsed?

Not really, the alt lets us look at the big picture, more on that below.

6. Why would Obama be a good actor to implement a military system?

He's the commander in chief of the military, duh.

7. How are XOs good for debate if none of your evidence even talks about the aff?

What makes it good is that none of the evidence has to be specific to the aff--XO is a core generic that we need to check against small affs and affs with a vague plan text (i.e. your aff). I also read three pieces of evidence that make a pretty compelling argument that who the agent of the plan is dictates a lot about future policies and helps our topic-specific education in the context of space, those are the Goldman, Conley, and Lambright cards.

8. How can the planks be solved on the 2nd cp if we don't have stable networking abilities?

Pretty sure stable networking abilities aren't a prerequisite to sending people places and putting carbon into rocks.

9. What does the cp do to get China on board who produces more emissions than we do?

Your internal link evidence to this impact is the same Barno 11 card that most of our counterplan comes from, so we still increase the necessary diplomacy. At worst, the block can read (and fyi has some pretty amazing) international modeling cards on the CCS plank. To be fair, Hague is probably already giving us solvency here, all he concludes is that the United States needs to do something to take the lead on warming and then other countries will follow--there's no reason the CCS part of the counterplan doesn't solve that.

10. Status of CPs k?

Condo

11. Why is the billions we spend on Afghanistan not perceived by congress but my aff is?

Obama's drawdown and eventual pullout from Iraq saved a lot of money from our defense budget, and current gradual drawdowns in Afghanistan are having a similar effect. That gives uniqueness to the link-- increasing military and defense spending now through the plan would be seen as a flip flop.

Also how are we supposed to maintain heg in a world where we dedevelop?

We would still have our status quo abilities to fight wars and be the hegemon, which our 1NC Zenko and Cohen card says is more than enough for us to maintain hegemony indefinitely, especially if nobody else is able to increase their capacities due to dedev. At worst, dedevloping probably solves the conflicts that hegemony would aim to deter.

And is the alt to the K a question of ontology? Or what exactly does it do?

The alt allows us to realize that life has inevitable problems embedded in it, and allows us to look at the bigger picture of human existence instead of being bogged down by particular issues.
