K Vs Policy Author Throwdown

Recommended Posts

WHERES RORTY :(

Rorty would be on the philosophers side, but for the fact that much of his body of work is devoted toward bridging the gap between the continentals and analytics, whereas everyone who is in the bracket is pretty firmly on their own side.

This started in one thread so I decided to start a new one for it so we can get a real discussion going.

It's March Madness, but with policy and K authors!

K author suggestions/ideas:

Zizek

Lacan

Marx

Deleuze

Foucault

Levinas

Baudrillard

Bataille

Freire

Edelman

Mann

Butler

Schopenhauer

Nietzsche

Agamben

Heidegger

Policy/right suggestions:

Schmitt

Khalizhad

Kagan

Thayer

Nyquist

Dolman

Zhang and Shi

Bostrom

(I can't think of as many because I don't typically read right-wing authors...)

Phil Kerpen anyone?

Is this worth going through with? Any suggestions for either side?

Why would you put Lacan at 2 and Zizek at 7, pretty sure those should be switched. Also, Habermas? who reads him these days?
