SPREZZIDENT 3967 Report post Posted August 7, 2010 stupid posts will be deleted at my discretion i'll include some baseball staples to get things rolling: 1. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/ 2. http://www.fangraphs.com/ 3. http://projectprospect.com/ 4. http://mlbcontracts.blogspot.com/2004/12/oakland-athletics.html 5. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/probable_pitchers/index.jsp?c_id=mlb&ymd=20100627 1-obvious 2-good site for an intro into advanced stats and a reference point for players. decent blog posts, new community feature will probably become a big deal. haven't listened to any podcasts, but they do make them. 3-solid prospect website 4-fantastic resource if you're after contract details or even gm histories...i recommend clicking around. can be painful if you're a royals fan. never fun to see some of those trades a second time. 5-probable pitchers [fantasy purposes]

gopal 142 Report post Posted August 8, 2010 insidemdsports.com orioleshangout.com (mainly because everyone there is a moron and makes me laugh) And then the obvious ones like ESPN, SI, fangraphs, MLBTR, scout, and rivals.
gopal 142 Report post Posted August 8, 2010 Spartantailgate.com Do you know if theyre moving to 24/7 sports? Because if not, that site is gonna die. ESPN affiliated college sites are slowly sinking.

Dub8dude 2142 Report post Posted August 8, 2010 Do you know if theyre moving to 24/7 sports? Because if not, that site is gonna die. ESPN affiliated college sites are slowly sinking. No idea, but that site gets a lot of traffic each day, so dying isnt the word to describe it. At least not in terms of traffic.

In terms of content... it will probably go downhill by the end of the month. 24/7 is stealing most of the ESPN affiliates so they'll have almost no resources left to work with if they don't jump. I'm pretty happy IMS is moving because I paid for 2 yrs of premium not too long ago and I'd like to use it if possible.

gopal 142 Report post Posted August 17, 2010 Makes sense. Theyre saying we're making the move on Friday. This is the first site up so far. I don't know why theyd pick a turd athletic school like UVA (and yes, take offense sev) but I'm not a huge fan of the message board as it is constructed.
