The elimination of all Kansas teams prior to round 11 has not happened since at least 1985, and possibly longer than that (records are hard to find). I don't think that's a reflection of the quality of this year's qualifiers; sometimes you just hit the wrong teams on the wrong side with the wrong judges.

Upside: Jonathan Lewallen of Wichita East is in the FX final and Salman Husain of Wichita East is still in entering the Thursday rounds in LD.

I know Neal Sonneman from Goddard made Semis in House. I was his parlimentarian and he did a nice job.

Bonnet and Morey are top 6. Richey is somewhere between 7 and 14.

Husain wound up 5th in LD, one of the top three LD finishes ever for Kansas. Another of those top three was Wichita East a couple of years ago--I guess we know who the LD Hegemon is.

Lewallen 5th, Husain 5th, Morey 3rd, Bonnet 5th, Richey 13th, Nichols 9th, Hanson DNP but ranked 1st on the ballot of the only adult who saw the whole session.

A solid nationals all told.

What did Deskboy think of the final round of Policy?

I was surprised by the results. I personnally would have voted aff. I bought the perm on the CP, the "net benefit" didn't outweigh nor give a reason to reject the perm, and the solvency midigators on competitiveness weren't enough for a Neg ballot in my mind.
