Winfield HS champ/open (11/21-22)

Recommended Posts

We're over-full right now.

my team is small, so we're searching for extra judges. i can feed and pay college debaters (only a pittance, though; we're not rich) to judge champ rounds and all elim rounds. we typically have a pretty competitive tournament, so there are bound to be some good rounds.

schedule and contact info-

friday - 4:00pm and 5:30pm

saturday 8am, 9:30am, 11:00am, 2pm quarters and beyond

email me - jasonhibbs -at- gmail DOT com

thanks

Hibbs,

I randomly stopped by here again and saw your plight. Hit me up and I'll let you know if I can or not. Probably depends if someone I know is playing in the 6A Football Championship Game.

I will be going down there with Buhler. Mr. Minor probably already submitted my name, but now you know just in case.

OK, I'm outraged... That is certainly not allowed, especially on the day that "meh" gets officially entered into the dictionary.

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/chi-meh_earnov17,0,5517946.story

Can I get a ruling on this?

It is actually allowed...although the word counter was not necessary.

meh... a few days too late. nice try, though.

thanks to all who have volunteered or have been forced to come judge. After a few drops, we actually have a few spare judges each round now.

it'll be a good throw-down; 77 teams in open and 20 in champ. lots of good food, and a wide variety of judges and teams. should be fun and challenging.

also, we have very cool looking trophies- they seem to have some sort of ninja throwing-star between the column and the victory figure on top.

h/w

bonus trivia questions:

1) a bus driver went completely through a stop sign without stopping, made a left turn where there was a "no left turn" sign, and went right past a school without slowing down or even looking when he passed the crosswalks. all three times, there was a police officer watching, but he did not get a ticket or even a warning. how?

2) who is the only NFL football player to start on offense in a superbowl, but start on defense in another superbowl?

Nice try. You got the first one right on, but E.J. Holub of the KC Chiefs is the other one. remember when the chiefs went to super bowls?

trimmer only played in one super bowl...
