This place is dead...

Recommended Posts

Once upon a time (and I go back almost eight years on Cross-x), I couldn't even go a few hours without visiting the South forum without being about ten threads behind on reading. Now one can just about go for days, especially on the non-tournament threads, and not miss a thing. I think that many people have graduated and left debate and/or high school debate discussion behind. . . besides, there are so many other places to engage in discussion (Facebook, MySpace, blogs, etc.) that the whole message board thing just isn't as en vogue as it used to be.

I blame GFD. No one needs to discuss anything anymore. Sorry Jeff, it works too well.

Actually, the South forum was kind of on life-support even before GFD.

It was alive and well with Jeff as moderator then. Make him come back and do it? You have the clout with him.

There was a time when this place was so a staple in my day...it's kind of sad to see this place so sluggish...
