KCKCCdebate 156 Report post Posted September 12, 2008 Friends, Kansas City Kansas Community College is pleased to announce that this year's TOC/DCI qualifying tournament will be held the weekend of October 31st-Nov. 2nd, 2008. We are also pleased to announce that the tournament on Friday and Saturday will be housed at Olathe North High School in Olathe KS. Coach Swanson and his debaters and Administration have graciously agreed to serve as our host site this year. The last 2 years we were lucky to have Shawnee Mission East host us. We consider ourselves just as lucky to be at Olathe North this year. They have a wonderful facility and we are thrilled to begin this relationship with them. A full invitation and other exciting details will be posted soon. We hope you plan to join us for what has become one of the largest and most competitive tournaments the Mid West has to offer. Sincerely, Darren Elliott Director of Debate and Forensics Kansas City Kansas Community College Amy Arellano Assistant Debate and Forensics Coach Kansas City Kansas Community College

munky_6 87 Report post Posted September 30, 2008 Received word today that Nebraska will not sanction the tournament because it is before the NE season officially begins. Anyone in NE able to speak to this rule? chief kckcc NSAA doesn't even recognize policy debate as an activity so it is irrelevant. Teams haven't bothered to even request sanctioning for the last 10 year (if not longer than that) so it won't affect our ability to attend.
The Hot Dog 106 Report post Posted September 30, 2008 (edited) Ya... We went to Ghill and half of the state just got back from Valley. So...fuck it. Also, who informed you of that? Edited September 30, 2008 by Che93

TLF 2147483647 Report post Posted October 2, 2008 Why so serious, Ian? ian just means that that's why you can't register. there was a meeting, a decision made, long story short westside isn't allowed to register/attend anymore tournaments. ever. something about discrimination against diabetics. i don't know, i wasn't there.
joelfulton 14 Report post Posted October 2, 2008 guess you guys have really taken your inclusion argument to heart, GENOCIDERS. Westside is the best side.
shortieluvscommunism 78 Report post Posted October 2, 2008 HA. Tell that to Kearney. Well we can't tell that to Kearney since they no longer have policy teams there. Which is extremely unfortunate.

TLF 2147483647 Report post Posted October 2, 2008 guess you guys have really taken your inclusion argument to heart, GENOCIDERS. Westside is the best side. dude i already told you, i wasn't at this meeting that happened. i'm not gonna say paul bellinger spearheaded the operation, but...miliken was definitely there. had i been there there obviously would have been a lot more sniping, sex, and painting with feces. plus, if jenna hadn't tried to kill someone for being diabetic (in other words, genocidal exclusion) this wouldn't have happened. or at least that's what i heard. KCKCCdebate 156 Report post Posted October 16, 2008 Previously I emailed the invite to all past attendees. Many people did not receive it. I am thinking that given the number of recipients, school filters assumed it was spam and didnt allow it through. If you or anyone you know needs a copy of the invite, please email me at delliott@kckcc.edu I tried posting here but it wont post--perhaps it is too big. thanks, chief
