Logic Puzzle 20

Recommended Posts

Rules:

1. You may only ask binary or dichotomous questions (yes/no, true/false, or others that only have two possibilities)

2. If you've heard the puzzle before, please don't ruin it for others. Sit it out and wait for another. PM me if you have questions about this.

Abandon your preconceptions and start with basic questions to lead you to the answer.

It's a good thing he asked for two, otherwise he'd be dead...

Would one have killed him outright?

if no, would it have only done half the job two did?

did having two actually save his life?

was it any type of medicine?

would he have died had he not asked for any at all?

Is the person he asked important?

Would he have realized beforehand that the second was needed (like two wheels for a bicycle)?/ Did he realize the importance of asking for another at the time?

If no, is the reason he needed the second something because the first failed?

Is what he asked for tangible (not like a question or something of the like)?

Were* they needed to defend himself?

Well, he didn't die, so I guess you could say that his life was defended. But the best answer for this is no.

Was what he asked for any type of weapon?

Since he would be dead if he didn't ask for two, would his death have been a murder? Would it be considered an accident? (like over doseage of drugs)

Were the two physical objects he received smaller than a housecat?

Were the objects received the same as the objects requested?

Is the location of the asking relevant?

Was either a liquid?

Was either some sort of first aid medication/ item?

Does the man realize that both objects were significant to his life status? (killed him?)

Would 3 or more of those objects change his life status? (killed him?)

Did the two objects combine to make one?

Was one a sort of chemical that could have killed him and the other one a sort of neutralizer?

Does the type of object make a difference?

Did he have some sort of disease and/or problem that may have caused him to die?

Is the would-have-been murderer human?

Yes, though I should state that our guy is too smart to let the possibility of murder exist, that's why he did what he did. So he wouldn't have been murdered.

Is the size of the man relevant?

No, he's average-sized

Is fire involved at all?

No

Are vechle's involved at all?

Is that "vehicle", as in a car or train? Yes.
