How can I make Imperialism (or Cultural Imperialism) a net benefit to a Consult CP (preferably Russia)???

I never run imperialism so i don't know too much about it, but it seems this should work:

 

say that the more cultures we get involved, IE, us and russia do plan, the less likely one culture is to dominate.

There are some (pretty bad) cards from Spanos saying other countries need to step up and check US imperialism, thus a CP like Russia (sort of) gains imperialism as a net benefit. Just us a US + UN specific link.

yeah you could probably win that asking other nations will be less imperialistic because you arn't having the US dominate policies. Or something like that.

yeah, i dont think you could do it toward where it would have much of a story, it wouldnt make since especially if you say russia says yes and plan is done.

 

you would have to say fiat is illusory and policy mpx dont matter and bye bye to your real net benefit to the CP and they could strait turn the K and your stuck with a CP you cant kik unless you run it conditionally and they dont perm it and that CP links to the K and you have no NB to it b/c you have no fiat and thus no linked you own damn NB.

 

then you have to pray they run fiat isnt illusory so you can concede that to kik the K to be able to access your relations NB.

 

so pretty much in the end you will have to choose b/c i just dont see a judge buying that story too much

The simple answer is no it doesn't work and a good aff would argue that in a way the Cp would link more. Come on people an imperalism Net Benift to a Consult, are you guys serious? All of sudden consulting a country makes the policy not imperalistic..lol.

99% of imperialism lit would still apply. You would still be intervening, creating the victim-saviour dichotomy etc. Just by consulting another powerful nation doesnt mean you get rid of the inherent colonialist/imperialist mindset behind the plan.

for african countries you could run consult the AU and claim that the AU would make sure our intervention didnt destroy native culture or just that giving african nations power isnt imperialist
