Dates of Tournaments for Michigan

Recommended Posts

Due to the fact that the new school year is approaching, schools that are holding tournaments, could we at least get preliminary dates for your tournaments, even if you're not ready to release the invitation yet?

Thank you

FYI - The reason the MIFA calendar is so bare this year is that MIFA is now charging $30 to list a tournament on their website.

Serious.

Holland (Generally, 3rd week of Sep)

U of M (Generally, 1st week Nov)

Ike (Generally, week after U of M)

MSU (Generally, 2nd week Dec)

JV States (~2nd or 3rd week Jan)

are all not listed....

East Kentwood of course is also not listed.

Cadillac was listed last year but did not host a tournament.

Petoskey listed a tournament last year...

Gaylord has hosted a tournament in the past...

Do you know if there's any Novice events happening in October? My debate coach was slow this year, so we're scrambling to catch up (actually, we haven't even started yet >.<; ) Maybe a workshop???

Coaches generally post an invitation to their tournament on this site, under the tournament sub-forum. On the link that Orion pointed out above:

http://www.cross-x.com/vb/showthread.php?t=976892

you will find a list of tournaments and leagues. If you let me know the name and e-mail address of your coach, I can post that information on that link, so that when teams try to send out invitations, your coach gets a copy.

Wayne State / Mona Shores fall on the same weekend.

East Grand Rapids is at the end of October

They all offer novice divisions. Dexter and Eisenhower have traditionally had tournaments in October, but Dexter moved their date, and noone from Eisenhower has announced a tournament yet.
