johnnyb 210 Report post Posted April 28, 2007 I'm totally basing this off no evidenciary support or whatever, but I really doubt that they would all need signatures from the president. That would be a hell of a lot of signatures every day.
bluey 113 Report post Posted April 28, 2007 I'm pretty sure it might depend on 1. what agency it is and 2. how "big" of a policy decision it is
thedowned 6 Report post Posted April 28, 2007 When executive agencies want to enact any sort of policy, do they need a signature from the President to authorize it? In politics it is quite often that the president disagrees with his(her) cabinet because there are other more important issues on the policy agenda. The president generally has to approve notions by the cabinet but the bureaucracy is the one who actually implements any such activities. I doubt signing legal documents is part of the process unless it's in the form of a bill or law then of course.
