Just go for heg bad. right but how can you "just go heg bad" heg causes terrorism? too bad it's n/u the alt gives uniqueness, otherwise what args can you run? fhqwhgads 122 Report post Posted April 20, 2007 Just defend that heg is collapsing now and we will be forced to transition to isolationism. That generates uniqueness for heg bad. This isn't that difficult because the aff has to say "heg low" or "heg on the decline" in order to have uniqueness for their advantage. Heg causes great power wars/interventionism/entanglement alliances/security guarantees which cause escalation/etc--a drawdown solves. Besides, any uniqueness generated from the alternative is probably permutable. Same reason that the Offshore Balancing CP isn't competitive. If your alt/CP changes the nature of US grand strategy, its not competitive. If your alternative doesn't actually change the way the government acts, then you aren't generating uniqueness anyways.
