Carbon Tax CP - Price Cut**
This file is an advantage CP to solve global warming advantages and any affs that claim to bolster the renewable energy market. I cut this originally for the college energy topic (undefeated when we went for it) and have updated it with 2014 evidence.
Given that global warming is almost certain to be one of the biggest advantages on next year’s Oceans topic, this file is a must-have. The solvency cards are fantastic, seriously a silver-bullet against any warming adv’s. Included are a variety of versions of the CP that have never been read (to account for potential DA’s/to bolster politics shields) and extensive 2NC blocks to answer every possible arg you will hear in response.
In terms of the net benefit, you can go for any DA specific to oceans exploration/development. Additionally, the politics shields are very solid.
FYI section includes a general overview of how a carbon tax would be implemented.

Russia Relations Adv CP
This was an advantage CP written to solve the Russia Relations adv for the Bering Strait aff/also some add-ons and internal links to other advs. I am not posting the entirety of the index because it has not been read yet and I would like for the buyer(s) to be able to maintain the element of surprise. Politics is an excellent net benefit along with any other DA's you have based off the tunnel. Please message me if you have any questions.

Plasma Gasification CP
By Phantom707
This is a generic counterplan for the infrastructure topic based around plasma gasification. The way that the specific solvency evidence is phrased, you could also add in an objectivism/coercion/capitalism good kritik as a net benefit.

Request Counterplan/"Demand" PIC
By Green Tea
This file is a PIC out of the word "Demand" in plantexts and replaces it with request. Many team with middle of the right/slightly left leaning affirmatives often make demands on the government in their plantext or advocacy statement. The counterplan instead makes a request saying that requests are a nonviolent form of communication and are a form of "giraffe" communication rather than "jackal" language that is violent. The counterplan comes with answers to every argument I have seen a team make against the counterplan and has beat teams on several topics. A good trick to have in your arsenal in case you are caught off guard by someone making a demand.

"The" PIC
By X Spike
There's not much to say about this file. It's a very extensive "The" PIC file - 71 pages, including 2NC and 2NR blocks, more specific link work, impact work and more alt/CP solvency extensions. This is a file that I can say two things definitively about: 1) it has won a lot of debates, and 2) there isn't an argument to this CP that isn't answered by at least 2 cards in the file.

It's the argument you know and love - "The" PIC. This 30 page file has the 1NC, all link, impact, solvency and AT cards already pre-highlighted - this file is round ready. It includes a 2NC/1NR overview and a Theory Section. It's a classic and totally worth the investment.

13 Military Presence Topic Word PICs ***PRICE REDUCED
Table of Contents
This file includes basically every Word PIC that is needed for the Military Presence topic. I included link evidence for 13 different Word PICs that are all topic specific. Additionally, the end of the file has some generic impact/perm cards that can be used. This file is useful in that the Word PIC is probably the hardest argument to answer. Additionally, this provides easy strategies to go for against almost every AFF. Finally, there is proven success with this file; I beat multiple TOC qualifiers with this file and had success at various national tournaments. Whoever buys this file is welcome to email me with questions on how to write blocks for this argument/how to deploy it in round.

Increase PIC
By PKennedy
Table of Contents
This file is one of the more useful files on this topic, since everyone seems to have forgotten about it. When teams read affs that just remove a barrier, there is no reason they need to actually increase social services. So the trick to this argument is to PIC out of the increase in social services, read a DA, like politics with a spending link or just the economy DA, and then read topicality. They can't win the perm without being untopical, and they can't win T without conceding the perm. Either way, you are in a good strategic position, and take out the majority of their advantages, most likely all of them.

Asylum Seekers CP/Refugee Flow Net Benefit
By PKennedy
Table of Contents
This counterplan was written against Carrollton's aff, though it could be used against any aff like it. It contains a pretty useful counterplan and net benefit against the aff. Its a must have if you find yourself without a strategy against teams that read this aff.

R&D PIC/Medicaid Neg
By PKennedy
Table of Contents
This is a tricky PIC that one of our teams deployed with great success. It's useful more generally than just a PIC, but it can be used against some Medicaid affs as a PIC. The basic argument is a DA about government funded R&D, versus privately funded R&D. It's a more theoretically sound version of the crowd-out DA that people have been running, though it has nothing to do with charities. Our team is the only one I can think of that's actually read this DA, so it could be very useful!

Courts CP - Poverty Topic
By Kuntal
This is a blocked out Courts CP that works against all affs that either use another agent or don't specify. It includes:
- Very good generic solvency evidence for social services AND specific solvency cards for major affirmatives
- Well-developed competition frontline for affs that don't specify an agent
- Extensive frontlines to major responses, including solvency arguments and disadvantages to the CP
- A blocked out ASPEC violation to garner competition
- Theory frontlines
This counterplan works very well with politics as a net benefit - so it works in conjunction with the thursday file(s)

Negotiation CP
By yackob87
Table of Contents
This was a strategy written for the toc that never got used in a big debate. This file contains a CP which uses the plan's incentives in international env and trade talks with sets of 3 net benefit arguments.1- Trade conflicts- incentives violate wto rules and cause them, the CP negotiates an international truce on ae incentives2- Copenhagen- the plan forfeits a bargaining chip that could be used to achieve real cuts at Copenhagen, the CP gets China to agree to cuts @ Copenhagen, the evidence that warming can't be solved without also getting China to reduce emissions is quite good3- Leadership- as i was looking for "prior key" cards i found some pretty good ev about why the us needs to take the initiative and resolve trade disputes on ae incentives before they start- the evidence argues this is important for 1- env leadership (1nc nb) 2- credibility/soft power 3- competitiveness (2nc nb with a trick against the perm)I should also mention most of the key solvency cards are 08 or 09- the best ones are from march and aprilThis file includes cards to make it relevant to the squirrely affirmatives that became more popular as the year went on and even more so at the toc including ev on- U tricks about incentives now/green stimulus- non-traditional ae- including new tech and nuke power- small procurement/military affsI think this could be deployed effectively at NFLs. Perhaps not with judges wary of any use of negative fiat but I think an argument that has an intuitive link to the plan (especially compared to most condition CPs) and will help you demonstrate that you are deeper on a pretty politically significant part of topic than the aff is something a lot of judges, even NFL judges, would like to see.

Increase Justification
By PKennedy
Table of Contents
This is the oldest trick in the debate book, and I mean that almost literally. Justification is an extremely effective argument at the NFL tournament, as numerous previous years (including the NFL finals two years ago) prove. This argument is a theory argument and a counterplan rolled into one, and questions whether we really need to increase alternative energy incentives, or if we can just shift them from existing ineffective programs and save ourselves a bit of money/an unfortunate trade-off.

Should PIC
By CubanRacer
Table of Contents
The word "should" presupposes a universal moral reality from which we can make accurate normative claims, causing terrorism and inter-state conflict. The counterplan replaces "should" with the statement "I favor," which clarifies the subjective nature of the value judgment. Unlike most other discourse PICs, this one actually has a solvency advocate - the author thinks that replacing "should" with "I favor" would change the way we think about morality. It's also very strong against K teams who you can pin down making moral claims in the 1AC or 1AC cross-ex.Includes full highlighting in gray, a 2NC overview, answers to aff arguments, and carded aff answers.

Asian Monetary Fund
By aimi
Table of Contents
This is a counterplan that solves Asian and global financial crises through the setup of an Asian Monetary Fund. The file contains answers to every major disadvantage to this counterplan, as well as a number of offensive and defensive aff arguments. A great argument to read as an advantage CP, especially against a new aff.

Specific Nondelegation Counterplan
Table of Contents
This isn't just a generic nondelegation cp. It has specific evidence dealing with all aspects of the topic, including specific solvency turns/net benefits. This is a fairly useful counterplan to carry around which you can read against any affirmative with delegated rulemaking. The counterplan has congress authorize the mandates of the plan through its nondelegated authority justified by the nondelegation doctrine. The counterplan solves the aff because it does the plan and has a couple net benefits including separation of powers, democracy, federalism, politics, and spending. This file comes with scripted 2NC/1NR blocks against every affirmative answer. It also has a load of affirmative answers. Also, most of the file is highlighted already and is ready to print and read. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Jaipaulrekhi at gmail dot com.

Consult Tribes CP
Table of Contents
This argument is a round winner against any Affirmative dealing with Native Americans. The Counterplan has the USFG enter into prior binding consultation with all relevant Native governments over the plan. Despite the fact that the counterplan would functionally result in the plan, meaning the case is solved, there are a couple of nuanced net benefits:1. Colonialism: The evidence indicates that the FG must consult genuinely and directly with Native Governments before decisions are made in order to protect sovereignty and ultimately solve the case. It argues that the unique legal status of tribes creates this requirement and failure to do so thwarts tribal sovereignty. There is an explicit link to the plan here: the plan’s failure to consult rationalizes hegemonic assertions of power that perpetuate the stranglehold of colonial oppression. The evidence is very specific in arguing that the counterplan is the only way to solve the root cause of this colonial stranglehold. 2. Homogenization: This argues that consulting Native governments individually is necessary because the affirmative homogenizes Indian country. It speaks to Native Americans through a monolithic voice. The subversion of the process of consultation obscures differences among tribes and reinforces the hostile forced assimilation of the past, turning the case. The evidence literally says that the counterplan is a “counter-hegemonic criticism” of the affirmatives homogenous gaze. This file comes with complete blocks, including the necessary analytical arguments, to all relevant affirmative responses. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. Russia Cooperation CP
By jmiller
This is a counterplan to any space affirmative. The text waives an act in the “Iran, North Korea, and Syria Nonproliferation Act” to allow international cooperation in space. Without international cooperation, the US cannot advance any of their space agenda. The CP text included is specific for Chattahoochee's affirmative - so you will need to adjust accordingly. The CP works best with a plan popular politics disad.
I'm going to try and put up a Russian Relations Impact File later on this weekend for supplement.

'Alternative' PIC
By dziegler
Table of Contents
This counterplan says to do the plan, but instead of using the word ‘alternative energy’, you should say ‘clean energy.’---“But hold up – my lab leader told me word PICs are dumb and only desperate teams use them!”Half-true. The argument is that the term ‘alternative’ is politically divisive – people read ‘alternative’ or ‘renewable’ and think hippy/pinko commie/lieberal (that’s right – lie-beral). The evidence is (surprisingly) pretty good that this has a psychological effect on people, and the shift to cleaner energy never happens. ‘Clean’ is a politically neutral word with no extra baggage that people are open to. The net benefit is pretty old school – you’re mutually exclusive with the plan and solve case better. More people are open to ‘clean energy.’ Everyone is using ‘alternative’ now, so you probably control the one-way uniqueness street on the framing of the energy debate. Game. Set. Match.---“Wait, this sounds shady. Those terrible lay judges that judge me will probably vote on the perm or theory or dumb defense args!”No worries. Scripted 2NC/1NR blocks have been written to every (half-intelligible) perm, theory, and defensive solvency claim you’re likely to hear.Have any questions, give me a yell. $5 is a steal for a stock argument you can use the entire year and even after. Alternative energy will be an issue in every debate in the near future.
