Capitol Debate Fall Classic - Oct 31 and Nov 1 - Open at Joy of Tournaments

Registration is still open at Joy of Tournaments for Capitol Debate Fall Classic held on October 31 and November 1. Our third annual tournament is filling nicely with teams committed from Edgemont, Lexington, Lakeland, Bronx, Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart, LaSalle, McDonogh, Loyola, Baltimore City College, Howard County, and many more expected. We will have 2 of the 4 teams from semis from Wake Forest University and quite a few other teams that cleared at Wake.

We are committed to top caliber TOC judging. We have been hiring many judges to come in for the weekend so we will have a high caliber judging pool.

Original Invite Below:

The 3rd Annual Capitol Debate Fall Classic Debate Tournament at Centennial High School in Howard County Maryland. The tournament will be held on October 31 and November 1, 2009 with early registration on Friday evening October 30, 2009.

We are committed to running a TOC style tournament with outstanding national level judges, mutual judging preferences and no lagging. We have promises from many nationally competitive teams for next year and are looking forward to a competitive tournament. We have submitted for a final round bid to the Tournament of Champions and will learn soon.

We will offer Varsity competition in Policy Debate, Lincoln Douglas Debate, and Public Forum debate. There will be 6 preliminary debates and then the requisite amount of elimination debates based on the number of teams entered.

Capitol Debate is partnering with the Howard County Public School System in bringing this tournament to you. Centennial High School will play host to our third annual Capitol Debate tournament.

We look forward to seeing you in the fall! If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at 443 538 4992.
