This week’s Thursday File is following two of our previous DAs payroll tax and China. In addition since economy impacts have been a main stay on the negative this season this file attempts to help you improve your economy impact debating and file. Payroll tax cuts are the hottest item in Washington and probably the biggest politics DA right now. This file keeps you up to date on that DA and includes many cards that assume the new GOP proposal to bundle Keystone with payroll tax. Last weekend at Ohio Valley the semi-final debate was won on this position and many of the arguments used in that debate have been updated through this week.

Additionally, economy impacts have been a mainstay of the negative this year. This file has an emphasis on that portion of negative politics debating and should bring you the cards to take your impact calculus work to the next level.

For China bashing this DA is probably on its last leg, but this file may allow you to continue reading it if you are really insistent.

Ross Garrett is an assistant coach for New Trier his teams have cleared at St. Mark's, Michigan, Glennbrooks, OVI and many other tournaments this season. Additionally as an assistant coach for Samford his teams have cleared at GSU, Kentucky and Wake Forest, and were octofinalists at the NDT and have been ranked throughout the season in the top 25 coaches poll. He was an assistant debate coach at Mountain Brook High School and an instructor at the Spartan, Samford and Liberty Debate Institutes.. His Mountain Brook teams cleared at the TOC, took 3rd at NFL nationals, won the Barkley Forum at Emory, received top speaker at Blake, and bid at every major tournament.
